Computer Skills page functional
Wednesday, May 21st, 2008- added Category utility
- Computer Skills now works again
- added Category utility
- Computer Skills now works again
- corrected country utility
- overseas studies now functional
eventually need to phase this out to be part of education
- new resume util function to get work types
- more aesthetic tweaks
- work/internship experience up and running.
Biggest change is that internships are bundled with work experience because they are intrinsically the same. Originally, Education/Overseas Studies were going to be bundled as well but due to time constraints, this will have to wait until revision 2.0.
- Capstone working
- Minor architectural changes
- made truncate by word function
- edited nav to accommodate legacy until the legacy can be properly fixed.
- career objective works
- aesthetic code fix for PhoneNumber page
- minor style tweaks
- redesigned look of the wizard
- phone numbers now save
- added requirement check to form processing
- wizard nav generator
On a side note, I’ve been considering things for version 2, but since I have to still implement 1.5 …all that is on the back-burner.
Life has gotten in the way of putting 1.5 to rest. Then again, since I’ll be basically re-implementing the same page six more times with only the fields varying, I hope to not grow bored.
I really can’t wait to start on 2.0 or a different project. Either way, I’m going to have a better requirements doc instead of going off of the original senior project requirements. This site could also be better via a MVC model.
* Changes made to link architecture
* Address now save correctly
* PhoneNumber skeleton change
* minor style changes
* general cleanup
* added AJAX to admin user control
* general user info works
* placeholders for address/phone pages
* form processing functions tweaked
* centralized reusable code base. upside to this is some obfuscation. debating if there is a theoretical downside.
* Implemented architectural changes that will ease the transition to 2.0
